En este trabajo se ha puesto de manifiesto la relación existente entre el clima y la vegetación de un área y las especies de Geometridae que alberga. Para ello se ha realizado un análisis de agrupación SAHN, método UPGMA, con datos climáticos, de vegetación y faunísticos de la familia Geometridae correspondientes a siete provincias españolas (?_lava, Guipúzcoa, Huesca, Madrid, Navarra, Vizcaya y Zaragoza). Los dendrogramas resultantes del análisis de estos datos han permitido establecer dos grandes grupos. El primero, o grupo atlántico, está formado por las provincias de ?_lava, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya y la Montaña navarra, con gran número de especies de distribución eurosiberiana. En el segundo, o grupo mediterráneo, se integran la Zona Media y la Ribera navarras junto con las provincias de Huesca, Madrid y Zaragoza, donde las especies de geométridos son principalmente de distribución mediterránea. La Montaña navarra actúa de nexo de unión entre las faunas atlántica y mediterránea.

The strong relationship between climate and vegetación and the species of Geometridae of an área has been highlighted in this paper. Data of climate, vegetation and fauna (data of the Geometridae family) corresponding to seven Spanish counties (?_lava, Guipúzcoa, Huesca, Madrid, Navarra, Vizcaya and Zaragoza) were used in a clustering analysis SAHN (UPGMA method). The dendrograms obtained after these analysis allowed to sepárate two groups of regions. The first one, the Atlantic group, included the counties of ?_lava, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya and the Navarre mountain that share a great number of Geometridae species with an Eurosiberian distribution. In the second one,the Mediterranean group, the "Zona Media" and "Ribera" of Navarra are clustered with the counties of Huesca, Madrid and Zaragoza, where the geometridae species show a Mediterranean distribution. The Navarra mountain acts as a bridge between atlantic and mediterranean fauna.
