Se presenta un estudio de los coleópteros acuáticos Hydradephaga (Haliplidae, Gyrinidae y Dytiscidae), Hydraenidae e Hydrophiloidea (Hydrochidae, Helophoridae e Hydrophilidae) recogidos en 39 estaciones de muestreo del norte y centro del Sistema Ibérico (noreste de España). La mayoría de las 107 especies y subespecies identificadas constituyen nuevas citas para las provincias de Burgos, La Rioja y Soria, comentándose las aportaciones faunísticas más relevantes, entre las que destaca la primera cita para España de Hydroporus brancucii Fery, 1987. La composición corológica de la coleopterofauna estudiada señala al Sistema Ibérico como un área de contacto entre las montañas norteñas peninsulares y las de influencia mediterránea. La importancia de los elementos ibéricos (23,1 %) viene marcada, como en otras áreas peninsulares, por el elevado porcentaje de endemismos de Hydraenidae (48 % de las especies estudiadas de la familia).

A study of the aquatic coleóptera Hydradephaga (Haliplidae, Gyrinidae & Dytiscidae), Hydraenidae and Hydrophiloidea (Hydrochidae, Helophoridae & Hydrophilidae) recorded in 39 sampling sites from Northern and Central Iberian Cordillera (NE Spain) is presented. Most of the 103 identifyed species and subspecies are cited for the first time for the provinces of Burgos, La Rioja and Soria. Comments about the most relevant faunistic contribution of each species are related. Hydroporus brancucii Fery, 1987 is recorded for the first time in Spain. The corological composition of the studied water beetles fauna, points to the Iberian Cordillera as a contact área between the Northern mountains and the Mediterranean ones.
