RESUMEN
Se presenta en este trabajo una actualización de las especies de formícidos presentes en la Comunitat Valenciana. Para ello se ha recopilado toda la información bibliográfica disponible y se ha incluido datos inéditos que corresponden a la determinación del material depositado en las colecciones del Museu Valencià d’Història Natural desde 2001 hasta 2010 y de ejemplares obtenidos en muestreos posteriores en diversas localidades del territorio seleccionado. En total, el número de especies asciende a 108, de las cuales, 11 son citadas por primera vez para la Comunitat Valenciana.
ABSTRACT
The present paper provides an inventory of the species of Formicidae cited up to now in the literature for the Comunitat Valenciana (Spain). We also supply the unpublished data of the species collected directly by the research team of the Valencian Natural History Museum since 2001 until 2010 and from samples obtained recently from different areas of the Valencian region. The total number of species reached is 108, 11 of which are quoted for the first time in this studied area.
