Se han estudiado veintidós especies de Porcellio Latreille, 1804 presentes en la península ibérica y para todas ellas se facilitan las correspondientes ilustraciones de las sedas-escamas. También se ha representado el exopodito del primer pleópodo del macho de diecinueve especies, y se facilita una tabla que recoge las principales características de las especies del grupo atlántico, con el mayor número de especies en el estudio. Los resultados obtenidos indican que no existe correlación entre el tamaño y la morfología de la seda-escama con el tamaño o el sexo del ejemplar, siendo muy semejantes en los ejemplares de la misma especie, y diferentes en especies distintas. Por ello, las sedas-escamas pueden utilizarse como un buen criterio para la identificación, especialmente en el caso de las hembras o los inmaduros. Finalmente, el estudio ha permitido ampliar el área de distribución conocida de Porcellio novus Arcangeli, 1936.

Twenty-two species of Porcellio Latreille, 1804 present in the Iberian Peninsula have been studied and for all of them the corresponding illustrations of scale-setae are provided. The exopodite of the first pleopod male of the nineteen species has also been represented, and a table is provided that shows the main characteristics of the Atlantic group species, that is the one with the highest number of species in the study. The obtained results indicate that there is no correlation between the size and morphology of the scale-setae with the size or sex of the specimen, being very similar in the specimens of the same species, and different in different species. Therefore, scale-setae can be used as a good criterion for identification, especially in the case of female or immature. Finally, the study has allowed to expand the known distribution area of Porcellio novus Arcangeli, 1936.
