Se ha realizado una revisión de los brúquidos de la subfamilia Pachymerinae que se han señalado en el área geográfica de la península ibérica, islas Baleares e islas Canarias. El resultado es el registro de cuatro especies de esta atípica subfamilia en esta área de estudio. Se muestran claves para su diferenciación, así como una detallada descripción de cada una de estas especies que componen esta subfamilia, tres de ellas de la tribu Caryedontini, género Caryedon, y una cuarta de la tribu Pachymerini, género Caryobruchus. De las especies de Caryedon encontramos una (C. gonagra) en las islas Canarias, establecida en Tamarindus indica, y dos señaladas en la península ibérica, de las cuales una (C. acaciae) está establecida, viviendo en la invasora Acacia karoo, y la otra (C. serratus) sólo corresponde a antiguas interceptaciones en semillas de Arachys hypogea, no establecida en esta área. En cuanto a la única especie de Caryobruchus (C. gleditsiae) solo se ha encontrado un ejemplar, supuestamente asociada a la palmácea Sabal palmetto plantada en el parque Palmetum de Tenerife (islas Canarias).

A review of the Pachymerinae subfamily reported in the geographical area of the Iberian Peninsula, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands has been done. The result is the registration of four species of this atypical subfamily in this study area. Keys for their species differentiation are shown, as well as a detailed description of each of these species that make up this subfamily, three of them from the Caryedontini tribe, genus Caryedon Schoenherr, and a fourth from the Pachymerini tribe, genus Caryobruchus. Of the Caryedon species, we find one (C. gonagra) in the Canary Islands, established in Tamarindus indica, and two indicated in the Iberian Peninsula, of which one (C. acaciae) is established, living in the invading Acacia karoo, and the other (C. serratus) only corresponds to old interceptions in Arachys hypogea seeds, not established in this area. As for the only species of Caryobruchus (C. gleditsiae) only one specimen has been found, supposedly associated with the Sabal palmetto palm tree planted in the Palmetum park in Tenerife (Canary Islands).
