RESUMEN
En 1865 T.V. Wollaston describe las especies Metophthalmus encaustus y M. ferrugineus de las Islas Canarias. En base a los ejemplares Tipo, se redescriben dichas especies.
ABSTRACT
Redescription of Metophthalmus encaustus Wollaston, 1865 and M. ferrugineus Woll., 1865 (Coleoptera, Lathridiidae). The species Metophthalmus encaustus and M. ferrugineus were described in 1865 by T.V. Wollaston. The redescription is based on the specimens Type.
