Contribution to the knowledge of the Portuguese grasshoppers.

RESUMEN
Contribución al conocimiento de los saltamontes de Portugal. Se han colectado 62 especies de saltamontes en un muestreo realizado durante nueve meses en 12 localidades de Portugal. De ellas, 37 especies se encuentran en el Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, el área mejor estudiada. Tres especies se citan por vez primera para Portugal: Acheta hispanicus, Modicogrillus palmetorum y Morphacris fasciata. Se demuestra que M. fasciata es una especie europea. Se aportan datos sobre el habitat y los períodos de actividad de los saltamontes en el Parque Natural da Ria Formosa.
ABSTRACT
During a nine month stay in Portugal 62 species of grasshoppers were found in 12 different locations of which 37 species occurred in Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, the area best studied. Three species were found for the first time in Portugal: Acheta hispanicus, Modicogryllus palmetorum and Morphacris fasciata. It is also proven the latter species is indigenous in Europe. Information is given about the habitat and the activity period of the grasshoppers of Parque Natural da Ria Formosa.
