El presente trabajo se ha desarrollado con el objetivo de conocer la riqueza faunística y la fenología de las especies de la subfamilia Banchinae en un ecosistema de montaña mediterránea del SE peninsular. Los resultados obtenidos indican una gran diversidad, habiéndose encontrado 25 especies, de las cuales 20 constituyen nuevas citas para la provincia de Alicante y/o Valencia, además se cita como novedad faunística para la Península ibérica a las especies Cryptopimpla arvicola (Gravenhorst, 1829), Lissonota (Lissonota) gracilenta Holmgren, 1860 y Syzeuctus puberulus (Kriechbaumer, 1895). La mayoría de especies encontradas tiene distribución Europea. También se ha demostrado que la fluctuación poblacional anual corresponde a climas mediterráneos con dos máximos pluviométricos anuales, el primero en primavera y el segundo en otoño. Study of the koinobiont Ichneumonidae fauna (Hymenoptera) of a Mediterranean Mountainous Ecosystem, I: Subfamily Banchinae The present work seeks to ascertain the fauna and the phenology of the species of the subfamily Banchinae in a Mediterranean Mountainous Ecosystem. The results demonstrate a great diversity with 25 species found, 20 constituting new mentions for the province of Alicante and/or Valencia. The species Cryptopimpla arvicola (Gravenhorst, 1829), Lissonota (Lissonota) gracilenta Holmgren, 1860 and Syzeuctus puberulus (Kriechbaumer, 1895) are new records for the Iberian Peninsula. Most of the species have a European distribution. In general, the phenology of the subfamily belongs to the Mediterranean climates with two annual peaks, a first one in spring and a second one towards end of summer and beginning of autumn.
