Sigara (Sigara) janssoni Lucas, 1983, es un endemismo de la Península Ibérica. Se describe su fenología en la provincia de Madrid y se relacionan algunos de los parámetros físico-químicos de los medios en los que se capturaron los ejemplares con las peculiaridades de su ciclo biótico. Se describen sus ninfas de los estadios III, IV y V y se amplía la distribución de esta especie, hasta ahora confinada al noroeste de la Península Ibérica (LUCAS, 1983; JANSSON, 1986), al citarla por primera vez en la provincia de Madrid.

Sigara (Sigara) janssoni Lucas, 1983, is endemic in the Iberian Península. We describe its phenology in the province of Madrid, and we also relate the physical and chemical parameters of the environment where the specimens were captured to the peculiarities of its life cycle. We also describe nymphs from III, IV and V instars. This is the ñrst time that this species has been quoted in the province of Madrid (central área of the Iberian Peninsula) which means that its distribution, confined until now to the northwest quadrant of the Iberian Peninsula (LUCAS, 1983; JANSSON, 1986), has been extended.
