Se cita por primera vez para España y la Península Ibérica Aphis (A.) fabae mordwilkoi Börner y Janisch, 1922. Se han encontrado, a su vez, 5 especies del género Aphis L., 1758 sobre diferentes Labiatae que no parecen ajustarse a las citadas hasta el momento sobre este grupo vegetal. Se amplía el área de distribución de 7 especies más, ya que sólo se conocían de una provincia, a veces alejada de nuestra área de estudio. Se ha encontrado, a su vez, por primera vez en España sobre una de sus plantas hospedadoras, Bupleurum fruticescens L., a Aphis (A.) bupleuri (Börner, 1932), hasta ahora citada sólo como errante.

Study of the aphids (Homoptera: Aphididae) of the province of Valencia. I: Subfamily Aphidinae, tribe Aphidini. Aphis (A.) fabae mordwilkoi Börner and Janisch, 1922 is recorded for the first time from Spain and the Iberian Peninsula. Moreover, five species unknown of the genus Aphis L., 1758 feeding on different Labiatae are commented. The distribution area of other seven species is enlarged, since they were known only from one province, sometimes far away from our study area. Moreover, Aphis (A.) bupleuri (Börner, 1932), that had been recorded only as stray, is found for the first time from Spain on one of its host plants, Bupleurum fruticescens L.
