Se ha realizado una recopilación bibliográfica de las citas de las especies de sírfidos pertenecientes a las subfamilias Syrphinae y Microdontinae en la Península Ibérica e Islas Baleares. Se incluyen todas las citas ibéricas posteriores a la última monografía de la familia Syrphidae (GIL COLLADO, 1930) y aquellas que habiéndose publicado con anterioridad a esta fecha, no se encontraban recogidas en la misma. Se aportan además citas inéditas distribuidas por todo el área peninsular, actualizando en cada caso el nombre de las especies. En total se han catalogado 125 especies ibéricas, lo que representa un incremento aproximado del 85% sobre el número de taxones inventariados para España.

Catalogue and geographical distribution of the iberobalearic syrphids (Diptera, Syrphidae). I.- Syrphinae and Microdontinae. A bibliographic compendium of previous reports of Syrphid species belonging to the subfamilies Syrphinae and Microdontinae from the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands is reported. All reports published posteriorly to GIL COLLADO?__s (1930) monograph of Syrphidae, as well as those published previousluy and not included there, are grouped. Moreover, inedited reports from the whole studied territory are also included. Names of taxa are conveniently actualised. The present catalogue includes 125 Iberian species, which represent 85% increase of the Spanish known taxa until nowadays.
