New data on the geographic distribution of west European Trichogramma and Trichogrammatoidea
B. Pintureau & B. Delobel
ABSTRACT
After Trichogramma meyeri Sorokina (or T. turkestanica Meyer) only known from Uzbekistán and Portugal (Neto & Pintureau, 1995), two other surprising distributions were registered.

- T. agrotidis Voegelé & Pintureau (mimttum group) was only known from France, Individuáis were recently collected in Bulgaria (D. Kostadinov) and Switzerland (summer 1995, Nymphalidae eggs, Salix cinérea and Rehila péndula, B.P. Suverkropp). A new French département is known for the species: Rhóne (Monsols, 8.VIII.93, malaise trap, L. Neto).

- T. bistrae Kostadinov (nomlaki group) was only known from Bulgaria. One male was recently collected in France (Landes: Saint-Paul-en-Bom, 14-20.VII.95, malaise trap, pine forest).

Moreover, 4 Trichogramma species were recently collected in new countries (France or Switzerland). Contrary to the 4th Usted species, the fírst 3 usted species were already known from numerous countries.

- T. dendrolimi Matsumura (dendroiimi group) was collected in Switzerland (summer 1995, Nymphalidae eggs, Salix cinérea, B.P. Suverkropp).

- T. embryophagum (Hartig) (pretiosum group) was cotlected in France (Corsica, Thaumetopoeapityocampa Denis & Schiffennüller, pine, Mr. Bellin).

- T. evanescens Westwood (evanescens group) was collected in Switzerland (26.VII.92, Ostrinia nubilalls (Hübner), maize, F. Bigler). New regions are known for the species: 3 conties in France (Ain: Pizay, 21. VIII.94, Noctuidae and Pieridae eggs, Brassicaceae, L. Neto; Loire: Saint-Germain-la-Montagne, August 1988; Saóne-et-Loire: October 1989, Noctuidae eggs, tamarisk); one región in Italy (Emüia-Romagna; Bologna, Mamesíra brassicae L. and Pieris sp. eggs, cabbage. S, Maini); and 2 regions in Spain (Aragón: San-Juan-de-la-Peña, 27.VII.90, Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens) and Noctuidae eggs, burdock and blackberry bush; Catalonia: Barcelona, 29.VI to 22.VIII.90, Helicoverpa armígera (Hübner) and Chrysodeixis cha/cites Esper eggs, tomato, Mr. Izquierdo and J. Pizzol).

- T. urquijoi Cabello García (perkinsi group) was only known from Andalusia (Spain). One male and one female were recently collected in France (Landes: Saint- Paul-en-Born, 14-20. VII.95, malaise trap, pine forest).

One Trichogrammaioidea species was also collected in a new countTy. 71 sfamnieri Novicki (nana group) was only knovvn from Germany and France (Pinturean et al., 1995). It was recently collected in Switzerland (summer 1995, yellow trap, meadow, B.P. Suverkropp). Moreover. one female was collected in a new French locality (Landes: Saint-Paul-en-Born. 14-20.Vil.95, malaise trap, pine forest).

The known distribution of 71 agrotidis, 71 bisírae and 71 meyeri, presenting wide disruption between western Europe and either eastem Europe or central Asia, demónstrales the need of more intensive collecting in order to improve our knowledge of the Trichogramma genus biogeography
