RESUMEN
El presente trabajo constituye una aportación al conocimiento que de la fauna de Simúlidos se tiene en el río Serpis (Alicante, España). Se citan un total de siete especies, pertenecientes a cinco subfamilias, las cuales constituyen nuevas citas para Alicante y la Comunidad Valenciana. Se recopilan las citas bibliográficas existentes y se estudia su distribución espacial y su fenología.
ABSTRACT
This paper contributes to the knowledge that we have of blackfly Simuliidae (Insecta, Diptera) fauna in the river Serpis (Alicante, Spain). Seven new species, belonging to five subfamilies, have been recorded in the Alicante province and for the Valencian Community. Furthermore, we compile existing references in Spain, and the phenological and spatial distribution is studied.
