En este trabajo se estudia un caso de ecomorfosis en Ceratophysella engadinensis (Gisin, 1949), en bosques de Pinus pinaster Aitón y Quercus pyrenaica Wild. en la vertiente meridional de la Sierra de Gredos (Sistema Central). El fenómeno afecta a ejemplares juveniles de las poblaciones de primavera y verano, como corresponde a un proceso de adaptación a un incremento en la temperatura y sequedad del medio. Se efectúa una descripción de diversos aspectos morfológicos y biométricos de los ejemplares ecomórficos y normales, revelando las diferencias entre las dos poblaciones. Con este estudio se aportan nuevos datos que contribuyen a un mejor conocimiento de los fenómenos de la ecomorfosis en los colémbolos.

In this work has been studied a case of ecomorphosis in Ceratophysella engadinensis (Gisin, 1949) from a forest of Pinus pinaster Aitón and Quercus pyrenaica Wild. in the south slope of Sierra de Gredos. The phenomenon affects only inmature individuáis and appears in the populations of spring and summer. This fact shows that the ecomorphosis is certainly a ecological adaptation process in habitats which are characterized by great hygro-thermical fluctuations during the seasonal cycle, and appears by the influence of external factors as the rise of temperature. We have made a description of different modifications during the ecomorphosis, in order to compare with the normal individuáis. The changes appear especially at the level of the appendixes (mouth-parts, furcula, claws,... ), the integumentary granules and anal spines.
