RESUMEN
El artículo ofrece una lista de las 25 especies de Cryptophagus Herbst, 1792 (Coleoptera, Cryptophagidae) registradas en la India y Nepal. Se describen dos nuevas especies: Cryptophagus garhwalensis n. sp. y Cryptophagus smetanum n. sp. Se cita, por primera vez para la India a Cryptophagus confertus Casey, 1900. Se describe, por primera vez, el edeago de Cryptophagus johnsoni Sen Gupta, 1980 y de Cryptophagus lyubarsky Johnson, 2007. Se presenta una clave de todas las especies conocidas de la India y Nepal y se aportan datos sobre su distribución.
ABSTRACT
The paper provides a list of the 25 species of Cryptophagus Herbst, 1792 (Coleoptera, Cryptophagidae) recorded from India and Nepal. Two species are described: Cryptophagus garhwalensis n. sp. and Cryptophagus smetanum n. sp. Cryptophagus confertus Casey, 1900 is cited for the first time from India. First description of the aedeagus of Cryptophagus johnsoni Sen Gupta, 1980 and Cryptophagus lyubarsky Johnson, 2007. A key to all species known from India and Nepal is given, and distribution data are provided.
