RESUMEN
Se registra Cucujus cinnaberinus (Scopoli, 1763) en la provincia de León (España) lo que constituye la tercera cita ibérica de esta amenazada y emblemática especie, que se describe aquí, aportando detalles sobre su bionomía, hábitat y desarrollo. Las observaciones refuerzan la importancia de los viejos árboles y la madera muerta para la conservación de la biodiversidad de la fauna saproxílica.
ABSTRACT
Cucujus cinnaberinus (Scopoli, 1763) is registered in the province of León (España) what consitutes the third peninsular record of this threatened and emblematic species, that is described in this work, giving some details about its bionomics, hábitat and developement. The observations emphasize the role that old tres and dead wood have for the preservation of the saproxilic fauna biodiversity.
